they fuck you up

this is a philip larkin poem that i wrote a melody for,and then sang for you...it was recorded on one microphone in one live take,just me and my very average piano playing...though i'm sure you'll agree my singing is delightful...and then i intercepted the song with the video to give larkins fabulous words further meaning,without interfering with his original intent.

i was very lucky to get this piece of footage..i was just flouncing through soho one day when that beautiful she-male came sweeping into view..i instantly whipped my video camera out to catch his/her beauty.
