  • Hi.

in the devilbiss line wich kit is good to learn to paint automotive.

    thanks

  • @Pellogt this gun right here is probably one of the best all around guns it comes with different sized tips and it sprays automotive paint very well and its a decent priced gun

  • Also u fan your arm which u should never do, if you are not spotting in , you will have dry spray everywhere causing huge problems especially if u were spraying clear or am expensive base.

  • @HandsofGold92 painting this tractor wasnt like painting anything else, we have sprayed automotive paint and clear coats since then and yes if you painted like that it would work out so well

  • "You can buy a cheapy gun at Harbor Freight for $14 and get an amazing paint job out of it."

Those can't be used at "real" HVLP pressure, which can't exceed 10PSI. Run them that low and they'll spit like crazy. You have to actually know what you're doing AND work with a good equipment supplier to assemble your own HVLP - otherwise you end up with an overpriced conventional rig.

Which is what it looks like this is.

Also - DON'T SWING YOUR ARM! All the paint ends up in the center.

  • @silvrface you would be suprised how much you can tip that and it still feeds the paint just fine even with there not being a lot of paint in it

  • The part where the needle sits is called the packing nut. The top nozzle is your spray pattern, and your bottom is fluid. These are good guns, but I use the Devilbiss Plus, they are awesome.

  • @eric31291 yeah that is the one you want for doing any type of painting
