On March 17, 2010, the U.S. Embassy, in cooperation with local partners, hosted the gala opening of a photo exhibition at Tel Aviv's ZOA House, in celebration of the U.S. Department of State's "Jazz Ambassadors Program." A project meant to spread the message of American diversity and freedom, the program was a particularly useful public diplomacy weapon of the Cold War.
