Dumpling meets dry ice, freaks out.

We just had some in-n-out burgers shipped overnight in a dry ice pack. Thought I'd have some fun with Dumpling since I had the dry ice lying around. He doesn't quite get it, I think.

Yes, the stuff you burp is CO2, carbon dioxide. It's heavier than air, and is especially susceptible to layers at ground level when cold. It displaces oxygen and, if enough is present, animals will die of suffocation.
