  • Is there a portable cam hd with hdmi or RCA video out? I need a tube cam for video assist!

  • @sbusumacinta Yes, see our most recent video camera reviews on webBikeWorld.

  • Despite the good reviews I have heard, dont buy this thing. Cons- It has poor sound quality, memory is limited to 2GB, files are read as .MOV, which some movie editing software will not recognize, not to mention they are huge files, there is no display to let you know time remaining or time used. Only one pro i see which is the laser thing, which is pretty neat. Go for the Tachyon XC which has way better memory capacity and better sound, plus its waterproof to 40 feet. Go for it, at ur own risk.

  • @CycleMan2200 I don't go by what I heard but by the outcome of our detailed webBikeWorld reviews. We reviewed the Tachyon, read the webBikeWorld review and decide for yourself.

  • Prior to the vholdr I was using my sony cybershot for videos on the bike, and found wind noise is helped a LOT by encasing the camera in a sponge/fluffy material (if it has an internal mic, like these do).

I've seen some people pull the vholdr mic out of the case, and am considering doing this, then encasing just the mic in fake fur, should be very good.

  • Thanks for the tip!

  • i want so a video cam

  • I have been experimenting with small cameras for years on my ultralight. I have tried many! I was real excited when I found the Vholder HD Other than the mounting system the product sucks. I even up graded to the 1080P as soon as it was available. Sad to say it sucked as well. I set it back ASAP!

I really wanted it to work. In the end its about the video. The Vholder has crappy video. Low light? Are you kidding me? Don't waste your money.

  • I did the external mic mod, it's easy & works well.

You just need a jewellers (small) flat blade screwdriver, soldering iron, and some wire.

Now you can also hear me laughing as I ride around =)

  • We didn't think it was that bad, visit webBikeWorld for the full review of this videocamera and also the GoPro and GoPro Wide videocams.
