okay first off you dont have to equip the dagger second you dont need to move any items into the spaces and third for a basic broken dagger go to bottom of attachment screen then do it at the third slot down and in weapan pocket do it at the second slot down and finally in items do it in the fourth slot down. trust me ive gotten 10 of those things in one entrance into store menu.

You have to press *Equip* on the dagger menu thingy, then talk to the merchant.
