PLEASE COMMENT! The following is part of a video-only walkthrough of "The Empire Strikes Back" title for the original Nintendo. There are ten levels total.

LEVEL 7: Cloud City
Once defeating and taking control of the AT-ST Walker, Luke retraces his steps to move past the deadly laser beams. The second appearance of the Graphic Eye Force Power appears here...by far the most useless power. The finale is a showdown with famed bounty hunter Boba Fett.

Most people never got through the first few levels of this flawed, but impressive NES game. As such, most online reviews and videos are done only with the first Hoth level as reference. Since few online resources even have screenshots of later levels, these videos are meant for illustrative purposes so gamers can see what they missed.

  • I demonstrate it in my Lv. 10 part 2 video. It sucks, essentially. It makes minor enemies like stormtroopers shoot away from you instead of at you, but doesn't seem to work against bosses or any enemies with their own energy meters.

It's the only power I've found not even one practical use for in the game. Deflect gets the job done for far less Force usage.

  • Boba Fett = still bad ass on NES

  • The bounty hunters here are very similar to the way they are portrayed in SNES ESB.

  • The main flaw with this game, as much as I love it, are the boss and mini-boss battles. For a game that came out after such classics Mega Man, Mario, Contra, Castlevania, etc., you would think they would have implemented more involving boss battles. In this game, it is all about finding the blind spot to stand in and be safe and that isn't fun. Every game has those blind spots we love to exploit, but this game seems to require it. Otherwise, it is great to finally beat a level!

  • Hell yes, payback for those bounty hunters!!! i think i beat the first bounty hunter but the others would kick my butt, this was as far as i made it...man, so much money on renting this and Battletoads!

  • wow original level!

  • There is just something about the oldies, they are just timeless...

  • Great video, i loved this game. NES games are the sheeit. I have one question though, what the HELL does the graphic eye force power do? I got all the force powers and used them all and i could never figure out what the graphic eye did. it just sucked away my force, but what did it do?
