We take a tour of the World War II reenactment in Buckley Homestead park located in Lowell Indiana. This WWII event is one of the larger shows in the midwest and is held every year at the end of April. Lots of firearms, action and fun to be had.

  • I found your channel via hickok45. I used to live in Lowell. Small world.

  • @demomanmatt Yup, it's a small world for sure. I'm glad you found the channel!

  • I was thinking about attending 2012's reenactment.. for the guns, do you "pretend fire" using blanks? Or is it an airsoft gun type dealio?

  • @lordofthrall The guns at this event are mostly blank guns. Some are completely deactivated and don't shoot anything. But I don't recall seeing any airsoft guns being used the the reenactors.

  • @Sturmgewehre Say i cant really afford to buy a real gun to fire blanks with at the moment, would a fully metal Thompson M1a1 airsoft gun pass, or be "shot down" by the officials?

  • @lordofthrall I honestly can't say what they will accept and what they won't. I suspect it also depends on which group you're applying to. You might want to find a discussion forum dedicated to WWII reenactment and see if they can't help you out. I hope you follow through with your interest, I think it's an amazing hobby.

  • Love your channel buddy, Lots of very useful info! I live in Lowell and this is right down the street from me. I was in scouts with Adam the guy in the turret at 1:30. Keep up the great reviews! Thanks!

  • Lol when I looked in one of the tents there was POWERADE in there

  • RDP!!

  • i really do miss Lowell. that was my home for many years.

  • 00:23 u say the guns are deactivated, u are wrong. Deactivated guns wont fire at all, those guns are real and just have blank fire adapters on them. Just saying. just a correction not being mean

  • In my spare time I like to dress up like a Nazi and run around the woods with other fat guys. Am I the only one who finds this a little sick?

  • @bigredmatt13 for paintball you have Oklahoma D-Day, its a one week battle, with thousands of players and I belive a airborn division within, and you have to pass a obstical corse to play, as for airsoft I do not know of one because I dont play airsoft.....

  • i wish u could combine this with airsoft or paintball
