  • Can u watch my vid on my channel its not the best vid but just let me know wat to work on in fly tying. cheers :)

love watching you tie your flies

  • Hi NymphAndDry,

I had a look at your video and what I can see you can tye a fly with no problem, what you have to do though is either turn off your auto focus if you can or move the camera in closer so that it focuses on the fly, I wish you lots of luck and do get back to me and let me know how you get on...

    All the best Davie

  • Hi Davie

Beautiful nymph and video, as always! Could you set a video of Voltage Buzzer Quilled Lite-Brite and Holographic Grey Boy Buzzer on Youtube? I would like an explanation on how this makes buzzer. Thank you for your help. With best regards Stefan

  • Hi Stefan(flumi7),

Thankyou, I'm glad you liked the video and fly...I will be uploading at least one of these buzzzer as I do have them on film I just have to author them, the holographic Grey Boy has been asked for lately so this may be the one I'll upload....

    All the best Davie

  • Davie... Would you mind showing some details on your wax clump on your finger? Curious how that works..... Thanks

  • Hi barryjanzen,

I have sent you a link to the wax that I use. What I do is break a small piece off which when softened would be the size of a small button..The quickest way to soften it is to run it under a hot tap and hold the small piece until it's soft then I work it between my fingers until it's tacky I then stick it to the side of my finger like you can see in the video..

I must try and remember to film this one day..

    All the best Davie

  • why would someone vote to dislike this vid??.. must have been someone who thinks he is the dog bawz when it comes to tying.. seen this vid and realised he's actually shite at it.

learned so much from your vids mate, thank you. :)

  • @DavieMcPhail thank for the help i will try this soon :)

  • Thank you for the information and love the instruction of your videos. I don't very often tie the flies you show, but I have taken in much instruction and tips that I use on flies I do tie all the time. Again why I love your videos!

    Woody

  • Hi woodysflies,

Danvilles is an excellent thread to use as I have a good range of colours, the problem is there's not that many shops stock it here as they do with Uni and UTC so I try and use what's available..

I'm glad you liked the video...

    All the best Davie
