These two reports cover a harrowing 737 flight where the left main gear became stuck and some amazing flying took place. Watch the pilot bounce the plane down the runway trying to free it! Amazing. vintage '80s. Make sure you check out the footage at the 2m10s mark - the pilot earns his entire years pay in those 20 seconds! I think this is one of the scariest landings I have ever seen... up there with the New York Hudson River crash when it comes to pilot skill.

  • Yes... either the pilot or co-pilot. It's a long way to fall!

  • Pilots are badasses. Straight up.

  • amazing

  • @46andco But nowadays, all cockpit emergency escapes are equipped with ropes for the pilots to slide down. Too many pilots have broken their legs jumping from the planes.

  • @Wayfarer515 FAA Emergency procedure

  • Pilot jumps. Why?

  • 1:08 pilot jumps from plane lol

  • And this plane is not an Airbus.

  • if the captain of a ship is considered a coward if he abandons ship before the passengers and crew have safely disembarked, then what's the difference here? the plane had barely stopped moving and Woosh! there goes the captain...! :\
