These are two retro Pepsi-Cola radio commercials. The first one is from around 1939 and the second one around 1950. Enjoy!

  • Feel free to see my blog (link in profile) for a very swingin' version of the same jingle.

  • ahhhh... its a good thing they made it batter

  • id hate to be black back then.

  • So catchy. Can't get it out of my head now.

    Nickel, nickel, nickel, nickel...

  • During the 1940's and early '50s, Pepsi always stressed the fact their bottles held 12 ounces for 5 cents, as compared to Coca-Cola's 6 ounce bottle for a nickel. In 1949, they added another line to their jingle- "Why take less when Pepsi's best?"....and in 1950, they also added, "More Bounce to the Ounce". Despite these admirable sales points, Pepsi was still a distant second in overall sales to Coke.
