I particularly liked ooo-RON-ohs by far! i agree to change it back. From now on i shall pronounce this planet ooo-RON-ohs and my friends will be confused and people will look in awe at my amazing word and how excellent i sound for saying it!

It is so sad when good fun is killed by squeamishness ;-))

Well, even speaking portuguese, we in Brazil try to speak anglo-saxon words as they are pronounced in their motherland, so it'd be nice if everybody try to speak the planet names with their latin pronunciation (the correct way ^^) after all, it's a scientific name, just like we do naming species.

Not saying it's hard to pronounce, I'm saying it's not been adapted to the language and will corrupt.
Do you hear people pronouncing croissant like a Frenchie? It's been corrupted to Crew-sawnt and some people avoid trying to say it all and say Crescent, because people don't like foreign words. Armadillo is another example, it's amazing that people pronounces quesadilla even CLOSE to how a Spaniard would.
