  • Definitely go for it. I know many people have had a lot of success in losing weight while raw. Check out Kevin Gianni and RawReform - these are two great resources!

  • I don't know anyone who wanted to lose weight and hasn't on a proper raw diet (that wasn't just all nuts and seeds). :)

    Check out the resources above (KevinGianni and RawReform) because they can give much more help with weightloss than I can. Weight loss is not my expertise :)

    Also, many people who are underweight actually gain weight on raw. It seems people "balance out" to their best weight and shape on Raw.

    Green smoothies are great for gaining or losing weight. Eat them in addition to your usual meals (30m before) to help gain weight, or in replacement of meals to lose or maintain weight. You'll have to experiment to see what is right for your body, but the number of calories also depends on how much fruit you put in and what kinds. Banana, for example, is great for gaining weight and has many calories.
