This is an electric motor turned Christmas Tree to celebrate Christmas in July. The motor is powered by its first phase and it uses its second stage to collect energy to power the lights, the energy coming from the magnetic flux. me and a couple buddies i am interning with built this. go NASA.

  • are you running off anything? apart from the motor? like house mains or batterys??

  • @thewuwu12howdujudu The lights were powered only by the motor. The motor was powered by a main.

    No, it is not an efficient way to power your Christmas lights. Yes, it was a fun project for young interns :)

  • @cole11518 nope, NASA decided to fund other ventures.

    The technology could still get there some day, but it's not high on anyone's priority list at the moment, like a lot of advanced research projects.
