Ron Paul was one of only four congressmen to endorse Ronald Reagan's campaign for president.

Ronald Reagan spoke in support of Ron Paul's foreign policy views in the early 1980's, stating:

"Ron Paul is one of the outstanding leaders fighting for a stronger national defense. As a former Air Force officer, he knows well the needs of our armed forces, and he always puts them first. We need to keep him fighting for our country.

Ron Paul like Ronald Reagan advocates using force very very cautiously.

Ron Paul is in the Reagan position of wanting to be very strong but very careful.

Ron Paul like Ronald Reagan advocates being precise when using military force.

Ron Paul like Ronald Reagan wants to use diplomatic, economic and intellectual capabilities to get our way.

Ron Paul like Ronald Reagan does not believe in getting involved with long drawn out campaigns anywhere.

Newt Gingrich says there is a lot to be learned from Ronald Reagan.

But Newt Gingrich calls Ron Paul's foreign policy dangerous.

Is Newt Gingrich a hypocrite?

When Ron Paul was asked if he would back Israel in a strike against Iran so that Iran would not obtain nuclear weapons he said no. You can find that clip from the recent debates and see for yourself. Ron Paul and his foreign policies are a little to passive for me to feel safe with evil in the world. I agree with not having long drawn out wars, but i don't expect Ron to stand strong as commander and chief and take precise action when needed.
