This is a quick video that I took "yesterday", April 4th 2009 after the Korean Culture Day event at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas.
After the KCD event, which was approximately 1 hour long, we walked a short distance to a church where the Koreans on campus had been cooking up some down right delicious food. The KCD event itself was free, but dinner (an "all you can eat" buffet) was $6. I was fortunate enough to be invited to the dinner so was able to skip the door charge, but it was well worth the six bucks!
Unfortunately I don't know the names of the noodles and the other.. things. :) We had kimchi (김치), bulgogi (불고기), rice (빱), and the other unknown but equally delicious food.
Obviously this video was a quick pass over the food and was not meant to be some fantastic documentary.
Many thanks to our Korean students for putting so much hard work into Korean Culture Day. It's the best time of the year! :)
Video of most of the event was captured, but may not be uploaded. I'm not sure how the people on video would feel about me sharing the videos online.
I'm also having considerable difficulty finding video editing software. I'm in Windows 7 and my cam records in .MOV, so Movie Maker is not an option. The software that came with the cam is pretty bad and will only save in 4:3 formats. While I can transcode from one format to the other, that's just one extra step of compression that makes the video worse, and in-and-of itself certainly doesn't stitch everything together into one video.
