@Montolioo You're absolutely right. It is just one way to perform these forms. I guess the school I studied under was kind of leaning towards the karate side of things.
I know he was probably taught to bounce up and down like that, but it just seems weird to me. I was always taught to keep your head at the same level through the whole thing to show control and power.
Thanks for helping me remember, I love the traditional side kicks, it looks so cool with the arm extending above. please dont let this comment spur any reaction force arguments.
I study under Kwon Jae-Hwa and we do not do the sine wave methods. Frankly I find them to be silly but thats just my opinion on them.

The Sine Wave is only "one" way to learn real Tae Kwon Do.
It gives every techniques three fundamental Phases:
1. Relax your muscles
2. come up and prepare your "Tools" for an Attack or a Block
3. Do a "falling Step" into the End of the Technique.
In this End concentrates your breath, technique and Footwork.
So, once again, its only a way to learn this Things. An General Choi thaught it was the right way.

@Gezhuntite87 Sin wave is MUCH MUCH MUCH harder, if done correctly. I've done both, so I can speak for ITF as well as WTF and Karate.
