Author Kathleen Eagle reads an excerpt from her novel, RIDE A PAINTED PONY (see wwww.kathleeneagle.com) with slide show of her family's Paint horses. The slides were taken by the author on main character Nick Red Shield's ranch (actually her husband's family's land) in South Dakota, summer 2006. The beautiful Paint (left) is JJ Jet, the Eagles' stud, and in the background you can see Rattlesnake Butte. All the horses in the slide show belong to Kathleen and her husband or her husband's brother.

Can hardly wait to pick this one up. My favorite is still This Time Forever (and his grandmother's fry bread.) Thanks for sharing your painted ponies. Very pretty.

Very, very nice!
I love painted horses! Most of all my horse Bandit Estel. He is an Irish Cob, and the best horse of the world. *grin*
