Monkey Island reviews (Part 3) -The Curse of Monkey Island

Finally we are in Part 3 of the Monkey Island review series and Hannu and I are going to review what we consider one of our favorite adventure games of all time, The Curse of Monkey Island. We want an entire part of this review series to be on just one game because it pays a significant part to the adventure game genre because as a sequel to the series, it not only improved on everything on past games but when an extra mile in creating such a terrific game. It was 6 years since the last Monkey Island game was created and now here in Curse of Monkey Island, using the best technology at the time, LucasArts put in everything to create such an awesome game. They added better quality of music, better engine and graphics, terrific puzzle challenges, and some of the best voice acting that you can ever find from games back in the 90's. Check this review and see why we LOVE this game and see why it deserves much more appreciation!

“I’m Murray...the demonic skeleton...uh...The Mighty Demonic SKULL! Bwahahahaha!” But in all seriousness, Murray is my favorite character in this game. He is by far the funniest, and also the most memorable. He tries to be Evil, but he is all talk. And quite frankly, what he has to say almost makes me Die Laughing! XD! He is, without a doubt, the ORIGINAL Achmed the Dead Terrorist! So tell me, what are some of your favorite quotes from the game? (I got hundreds) Who was your favorite character?

@SuperWorldJumper Old character, it always was Guybrush, but if you ask me who is my new favorite character though, I'll have to say that I love the Hairstylist crew who are just easily distracted & were the funniest. Out of the 3 I always enjoyed Haggis McMutton. I remember that he made Captain Rottingham bald from the fear of lice and I love that cutscene where he was holding his skirt "I'm barely holding on myself, mate" XD and second favorite, Murray with everything you said about him ;D

Damn this is the only Monkey Island I CAN'T play. The special editions are available, I have Escape from Monkey Island on the PS2 (Though I would rather play it on PC), and Tales Of Monkey Island is on the PSN for a good price. And this is the best one?

@AQreviews Actually, Escape from Monkey Island is better on the PS2 because of the controls, but I can't spoil anything because I'm still working on Part 4. So stay tuned ;D

@OldClassicGamer Thanks, man. People think I'm too generous when they should know that there are games that I hate as well and already there's been just a Monkey Island fan debate over my opinion. It's funny that people think as me that would like anything they like and hate anything they hate.

This is without a doubt THE BEST MONKEY ISLAND GAME!!! The story, awesome! The Puzzles, awesome! The voice cast, awesome! The Humor, awesome! The Designs, awesome! The Unpredictability, awesome! Lack of Bugs & Glitches, awesome! No anti-climatic ending (MI2), AWESOME!!! The Experience, AWESOME!!! Thanks for posting Part 3 this fast, now I'm happy that I don't have to wait for another week to see this review...except for Part 4 XD

This was my first Monkey Island game, so for that reason it is very dear to my heart. I definitely agree with you guys that this is the best one. It's quite sad that a lot of people still don't know about these awesome games (most people I know wont touch them because they aren't COD or Battlefield), but it's good that you two have done your part to spread the word about MI :D
