Over the last two decades, Argentina has struggled with some of the highest inflation rates in world. Lucia Newman reports that the government is being accused of masking today's figures to attract voters ahead of elections this year.

@AM429 I am not actually upset about being Canadian nor proud of it, just happens to be where I am born ...I am just seriously not interested in identifying myself with a political state of affairs such as imperialism...and it is not news to me that if the U.S falls Canada is going with it...your country will go down as well eventually under the current monetary system...a system based on debt eventually crumbles period and no Nation in the world is living above Americanization...enjoy travel...

@lucy9359 Are you more upset at the misuse of the word American, to define United States citizens? Saying american does not mean from the country of the US. I travel abroad with my Italian passport. Not to feel proud though, let's see how well canada does if the US can't steal anymore. If I wanted to live a life free of the bad karma, should I move to italy to deal with corporatist/communist fascism, low standards of food quality? Oh and shitty healthcare?..Slavery to a shit system.

@AM429 Sorry I don't know why they would want that distinction as a Canadian I find it offensive to be reffered to as American...because we are not war mongers nor did we capatilize on the poverty of every other nation in the world to line our own pockets...We did not bankrupt Cuba nor Mexico the American's did that with out us...Canadians when travelling abroad where their flag on purpose so know one thinks we are American's maby it is because they hyjacked our oil and we resent them,lol!

@lucy9359 I didn't say anything to suggest that you were a US citizen. You are from north America. You dont have to be a US citizen or have been to this side of the border to be american. If you look on a map, you are part of north america like mexico. This was a response because this ass on a post said americans own argentina....argentines are americans..south americans. My friends there wanted that distinction. They worked at call centers and said they were american, SOUTH american.

@Avigadro what makes you a dumbass is you don't know we are already in hyperinflation in North America just think about it we have seen housing prices double in the past 10 years where as before that it took 7 decades for the same increase...this year food is sky rocketing and I am in Canada now they are putting up the interest rates....the whole world is in the boat it is just showing up in some places sooner than others....say your prayers my American friend...

the same thing happening in North America now too...they are tampering with the figures and they are giving less food but not even for the same price any more in Canada our prices are also doubling this year on food our housing everything out of control....
