On July 7-8, 2009 I camped on the Gaberl mountain with my DX-colleague Jens (www.vbdx.de). There was no tropo ducting, but still we received a slightly unstable, but constant signal from Serbia. The transmitter at Iriški Venac is 438 km away from the Gaberl (1551 meters above sea level on a mountain pass NW of Graz, Austria). Don't be surprised to hear Romanian language program on this Serbian station, as it broadcasts in various languages for the minorities. You can hear the station ID at 0:51 !

Equipment: Sony XDR-S3HD, self-made 9-Element yagi antenna

  • God, it's so weird to see that you also can receive this transmitter that could be received here in Bulgaria, 400 kilometers away in the other direction...
