For OS Lion : Go to the terminal and type "defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE;killall Finder" . now you can see hidden files and directories. go to your home directory (your name) and you will see your hidden library.
to deactive it: defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles FALSE;killall Finder

Thanks man, one of the few guys out there who can show us where it is.OS X's Finder will not find it if you search so you are pretty stuffed otherwise.

go to the "all my files" portion of finder…type in 'Li'…the library folder should pop up, if not just add letters till it does and then go from there…at least thats what i did and i have Lion
