Me: A worm crawled out of the fish right before we were popping it in the oven. We bought it two hours ago. I'd really like a refund. Winco: What was the exact time you bought it? We need to review the camera footage. Me: Camera footage? I don't know the exact time...sometime this afternoon. Winco: (futzes around for 10 minutes making what appeared to be fake phone calls) Winco: OK. Would you like to exchange this for another fish? Me: (trying to swallow vomit in my mouth) No, a refund would be great.

It's probably Anisakis, the cod fish worm. It's very common in wild cod. The USDA knows that there will be some worms in fish, and finds that acceptable. Same with all meat - chicken, pork, beef, etc - there are tons of harmful organisms, including parasites and bacteria in these meats. So always cook all of your food thoroughly!
"Winco: OK. Would you like to exchange this for another fish?", Hahah! That cracks me up when places do that, grocery store and restaurants. They give you crappy food, and they offer to give you more crappy food in apology, except for FREE this time, as if it will make things better somehow.
LOL I just started to eat a piece of fish my gf cooked for me when I started I realized there was a worm in it. She started to freak out I didnt react that bad but I did stop eating the fish LOL It is kinda gross even if it is natural :O
