I get that question a lot..for me, I made the decision bc I wanted to see what the USMC was all about before I decided to "lead" Marines. There are enlisted to officer programs that are available so maybe in the future, but we'll see.

Why didn't you join as an officer if you already have your bachelors? Just curious, if you don't mind me asking.

All the Armed Services are great and have their purpose, it just depends on which one fits better for you. Make sure you do your research so that you can make an informed decision.

@DelandoBrad Are you in reserve or active duty and is it really hard to get a bachelors degree while your in the Marine Corps?

Active duty...earning your bachelors is possible, but can be difficult depending on your MOS and your work schedule.

Congrats Lcpl. on pursuing grad school and utilizing TA to help pay for it. How does your Mrs. like California and base housing? It has got to be a tremendous blessing to have her there while you work and do school. I salute you both!!! Blessings to you and your family.
