The Searchers
[in der Besetzung mit
John McNally (Lead Guitar, Vocals),
Frank Allen (Bass, Vocals),
Spencer James (Rhythm Guitar, Guitar Synthesizer, Lead Vocals) und
Scott Ottaway (Drums, Vocals)]
bei ihrem Live-Konzert am 06.08.2010
auf dem Altstadtfest in Salzgitter Bad
mit ihrem Erfolgshit aus 1965 "Goodbye my love"
(Platz 4 der UK Singles Chart).
Dort habe ich auch die Songs "When you walk in the room" und "What have they done to the rain" aufgenommen.
In spite of the sound quality - which is actually not at all bad considering - this song and this performance still sound great. This was my fave Searchers tune, but I'd forgotten about it until picking up a copy of The Searchers - Greatest Hits Collection (Castle Select #SELCD 509). Johnny and Frank still look great as well. It's amazing how influential the Searchers have been; the Byrds, Tom Petty, the Beatles... so many others tapped into their sound. Indeed, they define the 60s UK pop sound.

My point was it is an amateur video (no disrespect intended) and therefore the sound quality is not the best but I can assure you that if you go & see the boys performing live the instrumental & vocal quality of the whole show is fantastic.

It was recorded live! As I don't get to as many live shows as I would like I'm just grateful to anyone who posts upto date clips of the boys.
