1st Battalion The Rifles - Chepstow's Homecoming Tribute

Thursday 21st May 2009. Chepstow's tribute to the 1st Battallion The Rifles on their return from Afghanistan. The Regiment is based at Beachley Barracks. It was estimated that about 5000 people lined the route of their parade down Moor Street, through the Town Gate, along the High Street and down to the Castle.

My great great uncles regiment, he died on 8th May 1915 at 2nd battle of Ypres, Frezenberg Ridge!!
