There are those with 'alternative opinions,' but I find Gene Clark and Chris Hillman the true creative geniuses of The Byrds. Yes, the 12-string had the greatest sonic impact, but as a writer, Gene Clark couldn't be touched. And as a vocalist, Chris Hillman was SO un-utilized - listen to From A Distance. Overall, The Byrds were another example of being greater than the sum of their parts. Thank you for your appreciation of our humble efforts!
