  • From 4:42 acutally moved me to tears from some reason, which hasn't happened in a very long time.

  • Richter MUST BE considered one of the best five pianists ever!!!

  • Rachmaninov, Richter, or both?

  • Richter was extremely talented yet a flawed vertuoso.....his power is unquestioned. He attacks the music more than he interprets. The act of performing is like an armed conflict...he plays at you, not for you he devoures themusic rather than interprets....I think his personal unhappyness and flawed character give him a singular appeal..I love his recordings
