Yes, it's possible but very difficult. So it's impossible for most people (me) and for practical purposes.

actualy, compared to the part where i am at (known as the "mega man" stage, hard to get to) tannasin is EASY, all you do is hit him 13-15 times, and you are done, then drops down a flying thing, which you can hop on and ride anywhere, go to the area with the spikes,go the right,kill the bear and fly over the gap to the right,you will see a sign that says you cant go to the next area with the thing you rode in on, you have to cross a gap, pass a bird, boss similar to air man from mega man
