Lol thats for the sympathy. I never had a problem with AFL til i moved here. Im glad im lucky enough to afford (barely) pay tv. truth is victorians generally speaking do like league. a lot i work with at least watch the origin and more and more are following the storm who i have a soft spot for. channel 9 has done an absolutely apalling job as far as national coverage goes. they must get the ass if the NRL want to get the best possible deal for themselves and their sponsors.

@notsofatmike1 Im so glad I dont live down ther, non stop afl wud make me suicide probly, I thnk NRL will make a new deal with CH 10 to get 8 NRL games a week, ll tests, Origin matches broadcast live all over Australia, and SL, QLD and NSW cup at either later times or on its sports channel, AFL will shit itself then, as millions more australians will have the right to watch NRL the superior sport to view on TV

I live in VIC nowdays and from what I can see as long as Eddy Macguire is the President of Collingwood football club AND ALSO works for channel 9 then league will never be televised live as long as ch 9 has the broadcast rights. Its that way for any other sporting code not just league. Between the months of Feb-October in VIC all you see splashed all over papers and TV's is ONE SPORT & 1 only. Truth is they see other codes as a threat to their income so they shut it out.
