Berkeley Cyclist Hit by Car

Me and my friend were hit by a car in California - Berkeley
The guy did not stop! He ran away!

Thank guys for your support! Yesterday I went to the police department and I reported the crime. I also gave the video to the police officer. It was possible to identify the number of the car on the video. The police have located the car and the owner. Now I'm waiting for the return of the police on the case.

Im stunned,both by the video as it was clearly deliberate. And by some of the reactions by posters on this page. Glad you both appear to be ok, and I hope that the local police pursue a prosecution. I was hit by a delivery van driver last year, when I yelled out a couple of choice cusses at him he slammed on his brakes blocking the road, got out and then punched me.

whoa attempted murder alright!! you guys were on your lane, and the black car should not have even got close to you guys. That almost seems like it was on purpose. I sure hope the cops caught the idiot that was driving, take away his/her license and put him /her behind bars so he/she can learn the lesson!! what a moron! glad you guys are OK

I have had this happen to me.Wow you guys are lucky in a way, it ended my cycling abilities destroying both my knees, I already had a titanium fused lumbar region in my back from breaking it years earlier and that got worse too (as in always in pain). Hit and run for me too police were no help at all. I hope you guys never have to face this again, and they caught your attempted murderer.
