  • what an eyesore, and a waste of public funds, which could've been directed toward LRT or a Metro for everyone to use.

  • Car companies are fine, began hiring again as a matter of fact, you should pray they stay fine if you call yourself American. Oh wait, white people are only patriotic when it serves your own selfish needs. My bad for expecting cave beast crackers to be civilized towards non whites.

  • @bigtown

lol, CLEAN UP YOUR CAR COMPANIES that took gov't bailouts! (except Ford)

  • @DrSurprise NY IS AN OVERCROWDED OVERLY GLAMOURIZED SHIT HOLE, BUT IT'S A SYMPATHY PLACE NOW SINCE THE BUILDINGS GOT IMPLODED. DETROIT IS DETROIT, NY IS NY. THE PEOPLE MOVER HAS WORKED FINE FOR THE CITY, CLEAN UP YOUR FUCKING RAT PROBLEM.

  • @bigtown

hey moron! read my comment! I only mentioned mass transit! not way of living! No city is perfect and NYC isn't perfect as well i'll admit but since you're bringing up the little things, at least NYC still has businesses and buildings aren't getting abandoned!

  • @DrSurprise kill your rats first before you give Detroit advice. NY city, the only place where you can get a rat and roach infested apartment in the ghetto for 1600 dollars a month. Yeah NY is great buddy.

  • The population in Detroit plunged 25 percent during the last decade, falling to the lowest level since 1910, according to 2010 Census figures.

The number of city residents fell to 713,777 last year, compared with 951,270 in 2000, the U.S. Census Bureau said today in Washington. The white population plunged 44.4 percent and the number of black residents fell 24 percent.

  • Detroit should learn about REAL mass transit from New York City!

  • "People Mover"? who was the genius that came up with that name? someone from D-DOT?

  • @cabasse If the light rail on woodward succeeds in getting built (don't look but they already have the money privately raised to go from Downtown through Midtown to New Center), Detroit will be on its way to having the mass transit the People Mover was supposed to be the hub of.
