Here's a clip of me playing my 2004 Gibson F5G Custom mandolin. I've been playing about 4 years now and I enjoy it very much.

  • Very nice playing. You're sounding really good four years in (at time of posting). Inspiration to those of us just getting started.

  • i was wondering if any of you guys would have the tabs for this song? please

  • great man

  • R u using a tortoise shell

  • I always listening to gibbys (gibsons)

  • you should play this mandolin riff together with earl scruggs' nashville blues banjo riff. that must be awesome

  • I think It is an Fsharp. I think I might have saw that on a tab.

    Hope that helps.

  • hey...i have a question...The part where the song walks down, is that G to D back to Em, or is it supposed to be G to Fsharp, back to Em?????

  • Great sound. Thanks for that -- very useful form me.

You play it much like I do where did you learn the song? One differnce I play it AA BB instead of AB AB.

I took my version off a Monroe CD that I loaded into the Amazing Slowdowner software. I still only play it about 85% of his tempo and he was almost when he made the recording.

    Great sounding mandolin.

  • Nice job..
