Hi Gianniguy, yes you can use this on a gold top, no problem. Thanks.

I have a fine French Polish classic ($5000 range) that was really strummed by an idiot with a hard pick, especially under the sound hole along the grain. I won't refinish, but is there a way of dealing with these deep pits? The finish is rock hard. I heard of fine pumice and alcohol. But touch it with that and you melt the shellac! Thanks.

Hi gliksmar77, when you say deep pitting, does this have a cedar top?

Thinking about getting these for a Ibanez RG1570, got a couple of fairly deep (not to the paint coat though thank god) scratches I want zapped. Will it work?

Hi bbqhax, Yes you can use the product on the Ibanez RG series. The RG tends to have a pretty hard surface so you'll need the Player's kit and may have to work it with more than one application. As long as they are not real deep you should see improvement or at least get them to soften in appearance & be less noticible. If they are not deep then they may come out completely.

how about a Spector bass Matte Polyeruthane finish ?
NO laquer? or Gloss coat?

Hi 7sabot, the guitar really does need to have a high gloss finish to use any polishing products on it, ours or others. Otherwise the look of the matte finish could be altered.
