That's just how WIP open-source projects are. You're dealing with programmers, for whom command-lines and the like are of no concern.
You're seeing the stuff someone usually gets payed to clean up before you ever get your hands on it.

There's some truth to that, but not all users should HAVE to understand low-level computing.
It is the responsibility of tech-heads to keep an eye on these systems and make sure non-techies aren't getting fucked over. To that end, Canonical's open-source model is superior to Microsoft or Apple.
Linux is a sprawling open-source project which can't be easily hijacked by a single corporation. As long as Ubuntu is a part of that ecosystem, and brings credibility and support to it, I'm happy.

Just installed... not found my Wifi driver of my Dell Latitude (and some other drivers but strangely sound and graphical card look working even if not found). looking on forums... nightmare.. so many things to do in a COMMAND tool ( you know the thing you write inside a 1970 window with letters and special charact), nightmare !!! I wanted to buy movies, music etc I could only find some IT books... avoid that sh...t users don't want to script drivers or something else to be able to use something.

Of course, because once a software project becomes successful, it stays successful forever.
