I'm full blooded navajo and that's not how it's done that way. It takes days to kill someone and usually in a high percentage rate is getting them sick. I heard of skinwalkers following you but not attacking. They do follow you and when they get close you freeze up. Can't breath or move for a quick second and that's when you get sick and die. The only way to cure it is going to a medicine man in the navajo reservation.
