Boris Johnson on ITV London's Mayor Debate

This video features a number of highlights of Boris Johnson being an idiot on ITV London's Mayoral debate.

First, you can enjoy ITV's no-budget-spent opening title sequence - a sight to behold.

Then at 0:48 Boris is challenged on bus costs and looks really annoyed with the audience member for daring to challenge his brilliance - how rude! Brian Paddick picks him up on mistakes in his calculation.

Then at 2:15 Ken Livingstone points out another 'fatal' flaw in his plan for new Routemasters!

Then at 2:40 the host desperately tries to shut Boris up for 20 seconds - he's so rude!

At about 3 minutes in he spends well over a minute refusing to name anyone who will help him run London - and he'll certainly need help, he's completely incompetent so he can't run it by himself.

From 4:12 Boris is challenged to say what his actual policies and targets for cutting crime are, and he doesn't offer anything at all! He always goes on about crime but he clearly hasn't got a clue what to do about it and certainly doesn't want to commit to a target which he knows he will fail! He even suggests he'll achieve a 100% reduction in bus crime - what an idiot - no-one can do that!

At 6:10 he actually says, when challenged about not having a target:

"There is absolutely no point in having a target unless you're going to give the police the means and resources to do it."

He says this to justify himself not having a target - so logically this must mean he ISN'T going to give the police the means and resources to cut crime! What a blundering admission that was! I mean, we all know he's promised to cut the police budget but that just proves he'll be a complete failure on crime!

At 6:18 we see the most shocking segment of the whole video. An audience member mentions the article shown at the start of the video, from the Evening Standard, which is here:

and Boris gets really angry and actually accuses the audience member of "making it up"! He is also personally insulting to the poor man in the audience: "I don't know how you came to be in this studio, making this up, but it is absolutely untrue".

Ken Livingstone steps in to explain what was going on, and gets it exactly right - Boris was editing the Spectator when the quoted article appeared and was quite happy to employ an openly racist columnist (called Taki) who wrote the article. The man in the audience never claimed Boris wrote the quote, only that he had apologised for it recently, which is true.

Boris is a rude liar to innocent members of the public who are only telling the truth. Quite why anyone thinks he's an affable, cuddly man is beyond me.

Finally, at about 7:45 we see Boris unveiling a plan to sell off even more Council housing! Extraordinary.
