ALEX FERGUSON has warned Manchester City 'we're still on your tails and we won't let go.'
There is a three-point gap between his Manchester United side and leaders City at the top of the Premier League.
And boss Fergie has warned not only are his side out to overhaul their noisy neighbours in the title race but also send them spinning out of the FA Cup tomorrow.
He believes the battle in the league is now down to three and his team deserve praise to still be in it after all their injury problems.
Ferguson said: "We can say in some respects 'well done to still be there' and a lot is going to happen between now and the end of the season.
"I cannot see anyone outside the top three teams winning the league.
"The position Arsenal and Chelsea are in, they need all three teams to collapse and that's not going to happen."
Doubts have been raised about United after two successive league defeats under the strain of injury problems.
Ferguson accepts City have a strong squad and admits Tottenham are playing the best football right now — but he believes his squad have a major advantage in that they have been there and done it before.
He added: "That's obvious, because we've won it so many times. If questions are being asked about us at the moment, it's only because we have had two bad results.
"Only a couple of weeks ago people were saying how important our experience was going to be in the run-in and I think it will be, too.
"City have a strong and an experienced squad. All the players have experience except for Balotelli. So it is not unexpected where they are at the moment.
"But they also know we are right behind them.
"It is easy to write Tottenham off, but to my mind they are playing the best football in the country."
City are favourites after their 6-1 drubbing of United at Old Trafford back in October.
But even though you would imagine the United chief using that painful result as a motivating factor he insisted: "I will not be mentioning it.
"There is enough experience in this squad to cope with a really difficult tie.
"The advantage is with City, as they are at home.
"But it's a cup tie, a local derby and anything can happen in these games.
"It doesn't matter what situation we're in, we'd be expecting to get a result in normal circumstances."
