Exploring Community University Partnerships

This 15 minute film illustrates the work of the South East Coastal Communities Programme - an inititative funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for England to develop new approaches to community-university engagement.

The three year programme involved academics, community members, practitioners and students sharing their knowledge, skills and experience to develop innovative approaches to improving health and well-being.

It brought together nine universities in Kent, Sussex and Hampshire working with a wide range of local communities, focusing on the often hidden needs of disadvantaged and socially excluded communities in the coastal areas of the south east.
