@seonidh You may be surprised. Godmanchester - temple of the sun, Stanton Drew etc all had massive structures. At Durrington Walls near Stonehenge they found evidence of neolithic houses with remains of dressers and box beds exactly like in Skara Brae,Orkney, but in wood. You can't really surmise one site is much more advanced than another without knowing the evidence. At the end of the day, the UK has a rich prehistoric heritage. Don't get bogged down in what is better.

the neloithic sites at orkey are more advanced they have discovered the stone houses had drainage systems as well as a neolithic sun cathedral which has nothing to compare in the rest of the british isles. A structure that is totally diferent to stonehenge.
