Ayubowan, welcome to the forth issue of the online IT magazine diGIT. You may be wondering why there is an animated editorial. Basically, a friend of mine wanted to borrow my Sanyo camcorder and I didnt hesitate to give. Little did I realise that I would need the camcorder to do the diGIT editorial. Since I started a video editorial, it was difficult not to continue that trend. So after pondering about what to do, I thought why not do an animated one. So if you visit the home page of diGIT, you will see the animated editorial. Do give your comments about the decision to do an animated. All comments are welcome.

We had a few hiccups last month with some of our readers (and a few contributors) not understanding the meaning of an April fools joke. Then there were some who didnt realise the unbiased viewpoint of diGIT when it came to an article which in my opinion was open for debate. Instead of using the comments feature, some of our contributors decided to leave. Respecting their decision, they were allowed to leave.

Nevertheless on a more positive note, we are extremely happy to have three new contributors to our list and hope that they can add more value to the diGIT team.

This months issue includes an article by Wanni on the e-village project in Damahana. It is very heartening to see such projects get off the ground and hope that they will be reflected in other villages in need of IT to enrich education and lifestyle.

We have Chathra focusing on propositional logic and its pros and cons in using it as a reasoning method.

Kusal as always gives us more free resources which will help in elevating web development projects.

And we have Harsha talking about the basics of creating a website using Joomla, which is one of its specialties.

Let me end this months editorial with a quotation, this time by Benjamin Spock who once said
Trust yourself. You know more than you think you do Benjamin Spock

So be adventurous, use the IT knowledge you gained and trust yourself to start something to change the world one bit at a time.

Happy reading!

W.G.T. Fernando Editor in chief
