  • its not slow in heavy winds becoz it bounces the rig which opens the leech of the main and exhaustes the wind out of it soo it de-powers the rig in heavy airs

  • Its called leech popping, used to de-power the main in order to keep the boat flat. If you look you will notice dave only does it when the boat begins to heel over.

  • haha if uve self trained urself enuf to not knw wat pumping is u need to be on the water again mate or read one of ur books if ur too scared to go out in pumping conditions. these guys knw about it as well as me- Alegionnaire and 54015can
