@AutoRockinRacing94 indeed they did, that was an ass-kickin race topped off by the best move since Earnhardt's pass in the grass in 87 at the winston

@cstrnutt2004 Well they did in NASCAR at Talladega this year with 88

I totally agree. I was at that 1998 race too. It was an amazing race, I was just bummed that JV didn't win, but great race!
-
i agree with everything you said . . . just one small detail . . . the engines had only one turbo charger not twins
-
loved Vasser's Superman car...

I know but its still good racing

Great racing, but NASCAR actually did top that in 1984 at Talladega. The lead changed hands at the start/finish line 75 times. Of course, they were driving about 20-30 mph slower in cars that could beat and bang together.
Great open. "1998 US 500; best CART race ever. Today they're back." Need they say more? The ABC intro (G-force, velocity, turbo) is cool, too.
Thanks for showing us REAL racing!

If anyone happen to go to the 2001 500 mile race at Fontana to end that season, that was the most insane racing i've seen yet. They had 73 official lead changes that race to set the record. Let's see the IRl or nascar top that!
Please bring back Cart and the 2.65 litre twin turbo charged engine instead of this normally asparated crap
