Delta executives always seem to be promising flight attendants the moon, although the reality of what we get is more like green cheese. Consider these comments by CEO Richard Anderson in a video message two years ago, with a reality check served up by Delta flight attendants.

  • This is a video we would be proud to host on our site.

  • The AFA has yet to fulfill it's promise to win an "industry leading contract" for others...good luck going up against IAM with the Continental merger. Delta flight attendants are making more than the wages you got NW, which they are stuck with since you negotiated it under concessionary terms. Go ahead attack and bad mouth me as is in keeping with your style. The intimidation and negativity are what makes you so unappealing. Even pro-union flight attendants don't want AFA.

  • BEACHNUTTS, ok so you are one of the cheerleaders posting on an obvious rah-rah you tube page where apparently only rah-rah comments are welcome. I fly over 100 hrs. a month, don't have a desk job as you wrongly assert. One of the big problems AFA has is intolerance for opinions that don't align with their dogma, demonstrated by the comments re: my post here. There are more of us than you think out here who don't appreciate the lack of respect or tolerance for diverse opinions.

  • Just as we've demonstrated we can immediately change anything without your input or knowledge when you don't have a contract............

  • SKYKEVVERS Speaks like management. They think we're so dim. They'll even post anti AFA comments on you tube. Get back to your desk job skyevvers and let us do the work of making this airline great...

  • @skykevvers , obviously you have had ear plugs in while the anti union Delta machine has demonized NW Flight Attendants and kept Delta Flight Attendants at the bottom "best cost", "competitive cost structure" ...pay scale.

52million shares of New Delta stock for Delta pilots...32 million for ALL "other" EMPLOYEES (guess who's the only union on the property).

Do a little research and you will see that NONE of the NWA gang ever made a profit with out employee paycuts!!!!!!

  • The union is a business. Its priority goal? Lower costs, make a profit. Where do we fit in? How many grievances were filed in 2009? How many went to arbitration? What was the outcome of EACH and EVERY ONE? Why do we NOT get this information? hmmmmm

  • He is pure NORTHWEST from the Lorenzo, Gary Wilson, Al Chechi gang. He talks as if he has spent his entire airline career at "Delta" when he has only been there for 5 minutes.

Someone should be asking about WHAT he promised NWA Flight Attendants then stabbed them in the back ...

How's that $18 million a year paycheck working out for him? While New Delta Flight Attendants live on peanuts while working twice as much.

    Yeah...Richard, you are so concerned.

    I'm voting UNION!

  • The truth of the matter is that neither Delta nor the AFA is perfect but I would still rather have a union contract than be an at-will employee. If the AFA dropped the ball too many times, they know they could be voted out so it gives them reason to work with us. If we only had the Delta "promise and a handshake" to rely on, Delta can do whatever they want, and when we "go directly to management" and voice our concerns...we're labeled troublemakers and lose our jobs. No thanks! I'll take AFA

  • @skykevvers no way skykevvers, you got it twisted. sandy gordon and joanne smith have been driving wedges between the work groups. there is no room for exclusiveness. in AFA there is room for everyone and everyone has a voice. not just the popular pretty people.
