  • Apogee one + macbook pro + sm57 + logic 9 = way better sound than camera mic. Camera mics never do justice to any amp.

  • @dedej88 thanks men, i know that cam mic sucks..... but don't worry, the following records with my Mesa will be with a good mic ;)

  • i went for the fuel rec 3 ch...im pleased with it...been polaying around with settings etc but sold my matamp cab and am waiting for a mesa to appear on ebay.until then i cant play..sucks...

  • bad luck :(

  • i cant play omne first which is a problem....i can only go off reviews or comments people giv and videos onm here..the recs seem very harsh and brittle or is that just my ears?????

  • Hi, when I recorded this video the amp was new, and I didn't play much with it, so the setup of the amp wasn't good, sorry. You cand find videos and hear them but I think it isn't right to taste the real sound of the amp. If you can find a shop wich have a dual recifier to taste it would be better. I think it have really good sound, hard, clean, too gain ^^

Nowadays my setup is better, but if I recorded it for upload here won't sound as better.

  • daddy bought you this rectifier ? how much did he pay ?

  • The recto has a very unorthodox metal tone. It is very grainy, saggy and chuggy. Camera quality/settings is a factor here. Listen to Amon Amarth or Gojira (From Mars to Sirius) to get an idea of the amp.

For Mesa you might like a Mark IV. Also try looking around at stuff like-

Bogner(hot rodded Marshall), Egnater, Fryette(very dry), Peters Amplification (Great amps), Engl (Check out the Fireball, Powerball blows), EVH III head, Titan (SLO based), Hughes and Kettner Triamp, Rivera.

  • well i also believe this for any 6l6 tube amp but the dual rectifiers were always an exception for me.Listen to damage control g3 2005 version for exaple, there is a very warm tone which comes out of a boogie dual recto..

  • sounds like a $200 amp....... i cant decide if i should get a mesa or noit.i use an orange rocker 30 a class head on number 4 and its very loud....for a classic rock blues tone...but i need a more numetal tone due to what im writing in my band..its gettin heavier .....but needs to be warm.......... this sounds like a cheap marshall on here..... can i get a solo 509 head or duel rectifier to sound nice and warm and fat at the same time..i hate cold harsh tones.. i play a les paul...
