That isn't Rory, that's a synth bass line. His normal basslines are much more fluid.

LOL, although sounds weird for someone used to "the proper version" :-) you can still recognize the Runrig original style and Malcolm does his best... Love Rory's part... I can't say I hate this version... it's just different!! ;-)
