More close to perfection than any other guitarist. The most well rounded guitarist. Fast too.

In the late seventies and early eighties he won best overall guitarist in guitar player magazine five times and they had to retire him from the competition to the gallery of the greats .

@blitzspeer Vai is great, but he has mention many times that he doesn't play classical to any degree. He also dislikes most classical and earlier composers, preferring more modern composers like Stravinsky and Varese.
