i love these kinds of spots! well done. i think it's a coincidence however kinski would have studied hitler in depth and it is not impossible. has anyone noticed that coppola stole a shot of martin sheen as beast emerging from the primordial swamp in apocalypse now from terence malick from the scene in badlands when he has sheen appear from a hide dug into the ground to ambush the bounty hunters. check it out. it's a direct lift! shame on you francis :)

The man next to Hitler is Franz Ritter von Epp, a Bavarian officer. He was involved in the 1904 Herero genocide in Africa. It's all in his Wikipedia entry. A penny for Hitler's thoughts.

Absolutely brilliant.
Hitler really seems to fancy that other Nazi though, he looks as though he's about ready to tear his knob off. Perhaps it's the helmet? One thing Nazi's knew how to do well was fashion and jodhpurs.
