I'm pretty sure you're thinking of the Sanhedrin, which was set up because Moshe alone could not judge all of the Jewish People, a task far too overwhelming for any one person.

Legions will accomplish this!" As u can clearly see, the Hebrew makes more sense than the english translations. This is in direct harmony with the overall context of this passage. Hezekiah was the righteous king who done rite in the site of the Most High & becuz of this, the Most High allowed the Kingdom of Yahudah to be at peace. This is definitely not speaking of Jesus/Yahoshua. I pray that this helps your understanding.
Peace & Blessing to You!

Here is a more accurate quote from the Hebrew version..."For a child has been born unto us, a son has been given to us, & the dominion will rest on his shoulder; the Wondrous Adviser, Mighty G-d, Eternal Father, called his name prince of peace (7)upon the one with the greatness in dominion & the boundless peace that will prevail on the throne of David & on his Kingdom, to establish it & sustain it through justice and righteousness, from now to eternity. The zealousness of Hashem, Master of.....

Shalom TRUTHhitman: it sounds like u r sincere about knowing the truth! Isa. 9: 6 is one of the most misquoted verses in the "old testament." If u r reading it from an english version such as the KJV, u will have difficulty knowing who this person is. Of course, the NT sets up the premise that this verse has been fulfilld by Jesus. In context, this verse is speaking of King Hezekiah. If u go back and read the first chapter of Isa. u will see the time period when this takes place ......

Just so that I understand this: Who is the Everlasting father in Isaiah 9:6 ?
Could you be specific. Was it Jesus?
Was the Israelites in Bondage for 430yrs like the book EXodus 12:40 says? or was it only 80yrs like Torahrevival says?
could you be specific?

Later in Book of Deuteronomy Chapter 16 Verse 18 Moses tells the 12 Tribes almost 40 years after he was advised by Jethro to appoint judges for the people so there shall be proper judgement in the Nation of Israel-the Most High will given them judges.
The Rabbis have the responsibility which does not really translate into Divine Authority-that sounds too papal to me.
Perhaps you have a source where it says Rabbis have Divine Authority/D.A.
As far as I know only the Most High has D.A.

Then look at verse 24-'Moses heeded the voice of his father-in-law, and did everything that he said.
The question arises is that nowhere in this Scripture does it say that Moses consulted the Most High rather Jethro was certain his advice would be acceptable before the Most High.
Now Rabbi is just English for Rav our Rabaynoo/Our Teacher.
Certainly, Moses was our teacher.
Our teacher enacted a decree which did not appear in Scripture as a mandate to appoint other judges.

The Rabbis which included the Prophets Daniel, Ezra, Mordechai, Esther enacted decrees to ensure the original 613 Commandments/Mitzvote can be fulfilled by the 12 Tribes of Israel.
They were men of truth who accepted the truth wherever it came from for example:
Look at Exodus Chapter 18, Verses 13-27.
Moses who was the Rabbi of his generation acted on the advise of Jethro who was not a Rabbi in order his burden as leader and judge would be lightened.
Look carefully at verse 23.
Shalom!

Why does it say in Exodus 12:40 that the childrn of Israel were in bondage for 430 yrs?
Torahrevival said it only lasted for 80yrs
But the Bible says 430. Can someone please explain with out being offended?
We need to ask otherwise we wont know. Its NATURAL.

You are taking it personally. I did say dont react like a Devil. Thats how racist white people act as soon as you ask them to show you where black people fit into the Bible.
I asked about the old black women in church who speak in Tongues. NO. 1
NO.2 Isaiah 1:1 doesnt explain why the Son that is given shall be called Mighty God, EVERLASTING FATHER, since the Jewish Jesus said we must not call no one father but ONE. GOD.
SO, could some one AGAIN please answer the question honestly.

Shalom TR and great vid. was again. What most people don't realize is that TORAH can be found in everything, for it was from the beginning and before anything was created. One only needs to look around to see TORAH in ACTION! SELAH!
Peace N Blessings!

"One only needs to look around to see TORAH in ACTION"
I often gain a greater understanding of the ways of the Most High from simply watching some film or TV programme, or from just having a good conversation with someone.
Shalom to you too

Where is written that the Rabbis have Divine Authoriety?
I have learned from Rabbis and have not heard one talk or promote that ideology over the past 23 years since I began learning the Oral and Written Tradition of Israel?

Shalom. I thought the rabbinic teaching is that the Most High established a court which all Israelites are bound to obey. This "mosaic court" (I've heard it referred to as) was given the authority to interpret the Torah and make definitive interpretations of it?

Nice video. I'm also looking in to rabbinic thought...although I'm not 100% sure on where I stand with it. I've been reading a book called 'Everyman's Talmud' by Abraham Cohen and I've found it quite enlightening.

Great minds think alike! I've also ordered that book.
