Here's some information about two bills that could seriously damage the internet we know and love.

  • @HondaRacer248 fuck your honda bitch

  • @DigitalHemorrhoids I agree, but they already have enough ways to do that or else Interpol wouldn't make all those arrests every now and then. Besides that Anonymous has released several files with information about pedophiles, they don't need anything else. The proposals are just there to use against us.

  • @OneThugOneNation yeah of course im all for free speech and privacy but, child safety should be first and fore-most

  • @DigitalHemorrhoids

Dude.. They abuse the fight against child pornography to do all of this, that is the very next step. Haven't you paid attention to earlier tries to censure the internet through laws or actions against child pornography? "We have to stop child pornography and the only way to do this is through Deep Packet Inspection." Thus when something like that passes they can and will view and control everything we say.

  • SOPA and PIPA will have BILLIONS of protesters against them! If youtube is gone I will sue them.

  • This is bullshit

  • @MrYogscastfan100 It's not the government, it's big media lobbies. The government doesn't care about the people or the Internet, they only care about their political careers. They fought for these laws because the media companies promised them big contributions in return (even if implicitly, plausible deniability and all).

  • @destin325 It doesn't really benefit Obama since all the remaining Republican "candidate presidential candidates" have also come out clearly against it. If it was a rouse, then of a different kind, i.e. make a ridiculously overblown law so there is less outrage when they come up with a graciously defused version.

  • @DMenase24 Please watch the video before commenting on it. As is explained there, PIPA/SOPA do absolutely *nothing* to prevent online piracy. The ones who are actually committing copyright infringement via the Internet are the ones least impressed by the lousy obstacles the acts want to put in their way. All the bad side effects, none of the (supposedly) intended ones. That's what happens when laws are written by people with not the slightest clue of the thing they try to regulate.

  • No offense the Government is an Ass
